Sourcing high-quality beans, coordinating logistics, and delivering reliable supply with integrity and traceability.
I am the founder of Kalo's Coffee Import & Distribution. My work is to bridge origin farms with the people who wake up to coffee every day—retailers, cafes, and corporate spaces that depend on a steady, thoughtful supply. Sourcing coffee is a practice, not a transaction: it threads soil health, farm livelihoods, and the flavors that appear in the cup into one continuous story.
Our approach starts with sustainable stewardship—soil health, fair labor, biodiversity, and community investment. We pursue farms that share responsibility for their ecosystems and communities, and we pursue transparency so growers, buyers, and drinkers understand how a bean became a cup.
Traceability is not a marketing claim but a practical guarantee. Every bag carries a history—origin, lot, processing method, and the people who cultivated it. We map that history so partners can verify origin stories, assess quality cues, and communicate with honesty.
We design relationships that endure beyond a single harvest. Direct ties with farmers and cooperatives, pilots for future lots, and collaborative planning align harvest cycles with client demand, reducing risk and strengthening communities.
Quality is a discipline we inhabit. We maintain in‑house cupping and origin evaluation to describe how farming practices, altitude, microclimate, and processing shape flavor. Our feedback loop supports continuous improvement for every lot.
We source beans directly from origin farms or cooperatives, establishing long-term arrangements to stabilize volumes and prices. Each lot includes detailed origin profiles, processing method, altitude, harvest season, and a traceability record that links each bag to its farm, lot, and farmer.
We manage import clearance, freight, insurance, and warehousing to minimize disruption. Our coordination spans suppliers and carriers to deliver on schedule, with real-time inventory visibility and risk mitigation across regions.
01
We begin by listening to your sourcing needs, volume forecasts, preferred origins, and flavor targets. This step frames the work as a conversation about responsibility and possibility, ensuring every action serves both growers' stability and clients' confidence.
02
We scout origin sites and select partners who meet our standards for ethical practice, soil health, fair labor, and quality. We aim for long‑term, direct relationships, cupping and profiling candidate lots, and recording details about processing, altitude, and terroir to tell a transparent story.
03
We negotiate fair prices and flexible terms, aligning harvest timing with preferred processing methods—washed, natural, honey, or experimental—to meet client expectations. We prepare for export with clear documentation and ensure quality through in‑house cupping and ongoing feedback.

Coffee is a chain of care—from origin to cup. At Kalo's Coffee Import & Distribution, that care is guided by integrity, transparency, and reciprocity: we source with respect for people and the land, we trace every bag to its origin, and we design logistics that stabilize both growers and buyers. The benefits you experience arise when those principles translate into reliable supply, clear accountability, and opportunities to grow together with the communities that produce your coffee.
Together, we map your goals to a transparent origin plan that honors ethics and quality.
